The ranking of the top 20 e-pharmacies in Germany

With the introduction of e-prescriptions, the digital pharmacy market is becoming more relevant than ever this year. The study emphasises the immense importance of a strong online presence for pharmaceutical manufacturers along the entire customer journey. In particular, the ROPO effect (‘Research Online, Purchase Offline’) can still be seen in consumer behaviour. Up to 65% of shoppers obtain information online before making a purchase in a bricks-and-mortar pharmacy. In addition to ranking the top 20 online pharmacies, Smile AI’s analysis this year also looks at the customer journey and, in exclusive expert statements from e-pharmacies, at current and future eRx opportunities in the shops.

In the E-Pharmacy Study 24/25, we analyse which e-pharmacies are performing best today. To this end, the top 20 shops are measured in detail against the seven most important decision factors from the consumer’s perspective in online marketing: Price, SEO, service, traffic, usability, social and Retail Media. There are also exclusive shop insights relevant to pharmaceutical companies, forecasts on the e-pharmacy market and exclusive Rx interviews with DocMorris and Co.
